Leche Flan is one of most love delicacies that filipino love. I personally love it and i always make it on some occasions like Birthday, Christmas,New year and even in ordinary day. Here i will share with you how to make yummy not too sweet leche flan.
INGREDIENTS:
10 large Egg yolk
1 can or 370ml of Evaporated milk
1 can or 300ml Condensed Milk
1 tsp Lemon Zest or 1 tbsp of Vanilla Essence
1 cup sugar (Caramel)
Procedure:
* Prepare the Caramel by putting 2 tbsp of Sugar in each mold. I prefer 2 tbsp so i have enough caramel on my flan, the more sugar you put to make caramel the more syrup you have.*
1. Seperate egg yolk in egg white, set aside the egg white.
2. In a mixing bowl, pour the Condense and evaporated milk. And mix thoroughly.
3. Add the egg yolk and mix it with milk mixture.
4. Strain the egg and milk mixture to make sure its without lump and avoid bubbles on our flan.
5. Add the lemon zest or Vanilla essence. It will add flavor and aroma to our Leche Flan.
6. Put enough amount of mixture in a mold and cover it with foil.
7. Put water on a rectangular baking pan, water should not reach the level of our leche flan mold.
8. Put it in the oven and set the oven for 350°F for 45-60 minutes. When its done check it with a toothpick, if the toothpick comes out clean it means its already cook.
Note: let the flan completely cool.
Baking the flan or Steaming it would be the same. I hope i did help you in making a creamy and yummy leche flan.
