While planning for another adventure, we heard about Sea of Clouds in Mabinay Negros Oriental. As a natural adventurer i got excited to visit the place so me and my friends planned to hike the Pinayun-an Peak where they say you can experience the Sea of Clouds.

Pinayun-an Peak is located in Sitio Bato Mabinay Negros Oriental, a 2 to 3 hours travel from Bacolod City. To get there you can ride a Ceres bus going to Mabinay or you can ride on a Van for Hire in front of Ceres bus South Terminal. Since we travel during the night we ride in a Van for Hire and paid ₱250.00. Ceres bus fare is ₱224.00 but during the normal time of day bus fare is only ₱173.00, so if you are in a hurry Van for hire is a good choice.
Upon arriving in Mabinay, we have a midnight snack in 7-ELEVEN where we meet the employees of Mabinay tourism office and got some advice from them, according to them we are in perfect timing on hiking the sea of clouds because of the weather. We wait for about 3 hours before we decided to start hiking. Before you reach the Pinayun-an you have to ride a motorcycle which locally called Habal-Habal for about 7 to 10kms. If you go to hike early in the morning you have to pay ₱50.00/person minimum of two passengers but regular fare is ₱15.00 during normal hiking hours.
We start our hike at 3:30am, we are the first hikers to hike on that day, We dont have a tour guide because they dont offer a tour guide there, you have to hike by your own. Pinayun-an Peak is a long hike so you have to conditioned your body and have enough water with you. Since its our first time in this place its hard for us to look for the right way going to the peak that it tooks 1 hour or 2 to reach the peak.

Reaching the top is hard, its very dark and slippery, because of the rain the other day makes the hikes more tough, but reaching the peak is breathtaking view that you wouldn't want to miss!.
