Carbin Reef: A hidden Paradise

One of Sagay City's pride is the S or tongue-shaped white sandbar lies in Middle of Marine Reserve protected area. A 30 minutes travel in a pumpboat from Sagay Port. 

If you wish to visit the Island, book ahead in Sagay City Tourism office.



HOW TO GET THERE:

From Bacolod City, take a ride on any Ceres Bus bound to Sagay City or Escalante City, or you can take Van for Hire.
Ceres Bus Fare:  ₱127.00
Van for Hire Fare:  ₱100.00

Upon arriving on Sagay Bus terminal you have to ride a tricycle going to Sagay Port with ₱15.00 fare. On the port you can rent a pumpboat going to Carbin Reef. Pumpboat rent is worth ₱1,200.00 for minimum of 1 - 10 person passengers and ₱1,500.00 for 11-15 passengers. The pumpboat allows only upto 15 passengers going to the sandbar due to strict regulation of Bantay Dagat for the safety of visitors while going to the island.


Entrance Fee:  ₱100.00/Person
Cottage Rental:  ₱500.00

WHAT TO DO?

To enjoy the beauty of Carbin Reef, you can check it out by doing snorkeling to see the hidden paradise that lies underneath.

WHAT TO BRING?:

Food : since no restaurant or canteen on the island, visitors are allowed to bring foods and drinks.

Garbage Bag: its prohibited to throw a garbage on the island due to its Garbage In/ Garbage Out policy, every visitors are not allowed to throw the garbage on the area.



You can enjoy and have fun under the heat of the sun in this beautiful island with friends, enjoy water activities, but please keep in mind that taking shells, corals, starfish and any marine wildlife are strongly prohibited.
